In 1996, Meridian59 was released and it was there I met seveal guys that I'm still friends with today. IT was PK pretty much anytime and there was no safety, mean you when you died,, your stuff could very well be looted. The community was small enough to know who was who, but large enough that it would create the start of the MMORPG market. I have some very fond memories of the game, although compared to modern stanards, it is like comparing a commodore to a pentium 4.

I remember playing M59 and still picture the squarish/blocky 3d graphics. I love that game due to the 1st person view and the community. I am currently playing Oblivion and I get flashbacks of M59 all the time.
